2013-2014 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty - December Update

Happy December Everyone!

We are so excited to share all the events we have had the opportunity to take part since our last update.

On November 27, we all went shopping with Nodji and Kyra for our business attire.   We had such a good time trying on different outfits and we found the most perfect outfit with shoes and purses to match.  We can’t wait to wear them at all of our upcoming events.  We are all so grateful to the Festival for all the pretty things.

On November 29, we rode in the Tomah Holiday Parade.  The theme of our float was “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and we and our families worked so hard the past couple of weeks on making it shine and sparkle!  It was nice seeing all the other colorful floats and creative decorations.  We were prepared for the cold weather and used our beautiful robes, they definitely kept us warm!  We had festive music playing as we rode in the parade.  It was fun to see those familiar faces and wave to our friends and family that came out to enjoy the parade.  We really enjoy the parades and can’t wait for the official parade season to start!

On December 5, we all had a very eventful day.  Together with our families, we drove to Madison for the annual Holiday Event at the Governor’s Mansion!  We left Tomah early in the morning and drove to the Capital where we took pictures and had the opportunity to meet Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, how exciting it was to meet her and get our picture taken with her too!  We left there and went to Ella’s Deli for a delicious meal and then we toured the mansion.  It was incredible, everything was so beautiful and we saw a different Christmas tree in each room.  The best part, each tree was decorated with handmade decorations by children from area schools!  They had a school band playing Christmas music and we got our pictures taken and got to talk with some of them.  When we finished the tour we put our robes on and took pictures outside the mansion and then we went back to the Capital and took some more pictures.  We also want to thank Sydney’s dad Hal for waiting in the 10 minute parking so that we could get our photos taken at the Capital building.  It was a fantastic day and we had tons of fun!

On December 6, we had a busy day.  First we went to the Tomah Senior Care Center Rotary Christmas Party.  We served cranberry juice and met so many nice people.  They had a nice party with Christmas Carols, cookies made by the Tomah High School students and gift bags that LaGrange Elementary School made.  It was a fun and rewarding experience to meet so many nice people and see their smiling faces.  That evening we rode in the Sparta Holiday Parade.  It was a fun evening, our lights gave us a bit of trouble but we enjoyed the evening.  We bundled up and were toasty warm in our robes.

On December 7, we all attended the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center Holiday Open House.  We did our food demos and that all went very well.  We had the chance to taste some very delicious recipes too.  We met two women who were from out of town and just passing by and had decided to stop and see Warrens was all about. We talked with them for quite a while and before they left, they made a “cran-man” with us at the craft table.  They tied a ribbon on it and made it into an ornament to take with them.  It’s so nice to meet people and have nice memories to take with us.  We finished the day with a trip to Simply Bridal, where we met Nodji and Kyra and we picked out our formal dresses.  We can’t wait to wear them at future events.

On December 14, Princesses Sommer and Sydney attended the Warrens Community Christmas Party.  We had a great time. We ate a delicious lunch made by the Warrens Lioness and Lions clubs. We frosted sugar cookies with the kids, rode the Jelly Stone Train and even got our picture taken with Santa.  We also made a picture frame to put our pictures with Santa in. It was a lot of fun and we had a blast!

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Yours Truly,
