2017 - 2018 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty July Update

Royal Greetings!

We are excited to share the latest events we have attended since our last update.

On June 16, we started off our day by attending the Jessie Parker Run/Walk in Tomah. We had an enjoyable time visiting with the participants and served beverages to the attendees. Later in the day we headed to Oshkosh for the Miss Wisconsin pageant. We loved watching all the semi-finalists perform their talents and looking at all the gorgeous evening gowns. It was exciting watching as Miss Wood, Violet Tianna Vanderhei  was crowned the new Miss Wisconsin. It was a late night at getting back home but well worth it!

On June 17, we traveled to Wisconsin Rapids for the Cranberry Blossom Days Parade. We parked on the street in front of a very nice lady’s house named Marian. She and her daughter gave us refreshing cold water to drink. Marian will soon turn 99 years old, many thanks to their wonderful hospitality! The parade was very hot and sunny but we still had a great time.

On June 30, we went to the Wetherby Cranberry Marsh for Cranberry Blossom Days. Marsh tours were available and we each prepared a cranberry item for our food demo along with the Wisconsin Honey Queen. Everyone enjoyed our refreshing treats as it was very warm outside. Afterwards we traveled over to the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center to try their new cranberry ice cream flavors. We recommended a few of our favorites to the Honey Queen. What a delightful way to end our day!

On July 4th we attended the parade in Tomah. We took pictures with Little Miss Tomah and we enjoyed waving to a lot of familiar faces along the parade route. Following the parade we headed up to Warrens for their 150th celebration. We enjoyed delicious food and helped by selling sesquicentennial buttons. Lauren and I (Tatianna) participated in the pie eating contest. It’s safe to say we weren’t close to winning but still had a lot of fun doing it. After the contest we visited the stage coach area and we were put into jail for having too much fun! Later we watched the lumber jack show, which was very entertaining. It was an enjoyable day celebrating the 4th of July and Warrens Sesquicentennial.

On July 8th we took our float to New Lisbon for the Wa Du Shuda Days Parade. The parade theme was “Cavemen & Dinosaurs” so we decorated our float with dinosaurs and palm trees.  Our parents dressed up in dinosaur and cave people costumes, it was very entertaining. After the parade we had a caricature drawing done of the three of us. We had a really fun time!

2017-2018 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty June Update

Royal Greetings! 

We are supper excited to share the latest events we have attended since our last update. 

On May 27, we attended the Arcadia Broiler Days Parade. When we arrived at the fest grounds we joined the other royalty for a group picture. It was an extremely hot day so we ate our snacks in the suburban to cool off before the parade. The parade ride lasted about a half hour and the sun was very hot so we made sure to take water with us. After the parade we stopped for cool and refreshing Minute Maid Slushies. Despite the heat we had a great time. 

On May 28, we took part in the Memorial Day services at Warren Mills Cemetery. We passed out programs to the attendees. Princesses Hannah and Lauren did the laying of the wreath and Queen Tatianna read Logan’s Orders. After the ceremony we went to the Log Building and enjoyed a delicious Chicken-Q. Our final stop was the Pine Grove Cemetery where we each read a poem for the ceremony. We had a great day honoring the fallen.

June 2nd was a busy day. We started out that morning at the Monroe County Dairy Breakfast on a farm by Kendall. They served eggs, pancakes, cheese, toast, cookies, coffee cake and Culver’s custard. It was all very delicious! Everyone at the event was super friendly and we took lots of pictures. The petting zoo was a big hit with everyone. 

After the Dairy Breakfast we headed to West Salem for their Dairy Days Parade. The parade went well with lots of cheery smiling faces waving back at us. We lucked out as the rain held off until after the parade. 

Later that night we attended the Miss Sparta Pageant. All the contestants did very well as they competed for the tittles of Miss Sparta and Miss Sparta Outstanding Teen. The new Miss Sparta is Emily Phillips and Miss Outstanding Teen is Jenna Martin. It was a long day but a very enjoyable one. 

On June 10, we attended the Sparta Butterfest. We attended the Royalty Tea and handed out our new buttons and visited with all the other royalty. We gathered for a large group picture by the Ben Bikin Statue. It was cool and cloudy but the rain held off for the parade and everyone was in good spirits. After the parade we went to the fest grounds and enjoyed a few of the rides before heading home.

2017 - 2018 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty May Update

Royal Greetings!

We are excited to share the latest events we’ve had the opportunity to take part in since our last update. On April 27th only I, Tatianna, attended the Sparta Festmaster Banquet. I sat with Miss Cashton, Emily Swenson, and La Crescent Applefest 1st Attendant, Emma Booth. It was great meeting and conversing with both of these lovely ladies. After dinner the 2017

Festmaster, Dave Kuderer gave his farewell speech and Mike Arnold, was inducted as the new 2018 Sparta Festmaster.

On May 19th Princess Hannah and I, Princess Lauren, visited Adams Friendship for the Alice in Dairyland Finals. Before dinner we mingled with Miss Wisconsin, the Honey Queen and other distinguished guests and contestants. We thought it was awesome how the MC brought all the past Alice in Dairylands on stage. They each introduced themselves, their year of reign, and a highlight of their year. One of them went to Japan twice and another participated in a pumpkin regatta in which she had to ride and row in a floating pumpkin down a river. The finale of the night was the crowning of the new Alice in Dairyland, Kaitlyn Riley from Gays Mills. We were also given lovely flower centerpieces to take home at the end of the night. It was a wonderful night of talking, taking pictures, and listening to the contestants speeches.

May 20th we attended the Westby Syttende Mai Parade. At the Royalty Tea we were served different types of Norwegian food. We mingled with other visiting royalty and had a large group picture taken after the tea. To celebrate the Norwegian festival we decorated our float with Norwegian flags and we even had a stuffed gnome riding with us.

2017 - 2018 Warrens Cranberry Festival April Royalty Update

Royal Greetings!

We only have one event to share with you since our last update. On March 31st  we attended the Warrens Community Easter Breakfast at the Log Building in Warrens. They had a nice turnout of 150 people for the pancake breakfast. The Easter Bunny came to visit so everyone could get pictures taken with him. We handed out books and candy to all the children who    attended. This was a great community event and a fun time for all those who attended.

Summer will be here soon and we’re excited to start our busy parade season in May.

2017-2018 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty March Update

Royal Greetings!

We are excited to share the latest events we attended. On February 14th Princess Hannah and Princess Lauren went to the Tomah VA to celebrate Valentines Day with the veterans. 

Each year they celebrate National Salute To Veteran Patients Week by having a huge heart shaped cake for the veterans to enjoy. We had the opportunity to spend time with some of the patients and serve them all cake too!

On March 11th we traveled to Westby to attended the Westby Syttende Mai Coronation.

This year marks the 50th year for their celebration. They held a meet and greet prior to the ceremony so it gave us a chance to mingle with all the other royalty. Seven young ladies ran for court. The winners were Princess: Katelyn Dunnum, 1st attendant: Hailey Jubera, and 2nd attendant: Josie Hofslien. After the new royalty was crowned everyone gathered for a group photo.  It was a fun and exciting event and we enjoyed representing the Warrens

Cranberry Festival.

2017-2018 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty February Update

Royal Greetings!

We are excited to tell you about our latest adventures. On January 24th we attended the WSCGA (Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association) winter meeting in Stevens Point. We walked around and visited with the vendors and looked at their displays. We even got our picture taken with a few of them. We enjoyed pasta for lunch and after lunch everyone

gathered for their big meeting. We were invited to the podium and gave a short speech with an invitation for everyone to join us at our wonderful Cranberry Festival.

On Saturday, February 3rd Queen Tatianna and Princess Hannah attended the Westby Ski Jump. We went to the chalet and met with the new Westby Snowflake Royalty and mingled with other visiting royalty. We gathered for a group picture at the bottom of the ski jump.  All the visiting royalty gave introductions before the ski jumping  began and we invited everyone to Cranfest in September. The ski jump is extremely high and there is a staircase leading all the way to the top. We climbed up the steep stairs and were able to get a picture with one of the skiers at the top. He ended up getting the farthest distance for his first run and 2nd

farthest on his second run. It was amazing watching the skiers take off and glide through the air and land at the bottom of the jump. This event not only attracts U.S. jumpers but from around the world. We had pictures taken with several skiers and had a great time cheering them on. It was a chilly day, but we were able to keep warm by the bonfire. Hanna and I had a great time at this exciting ski jumping event.

2017-2018 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty January Update

Royal Greetings and Happy New Year! 

Things have been a little quieter for us after the busy holiday season. On December 8th we attended the Tomah Senior Center Christmas Party. We served cranberry juice to all the guests. We listened to a number of holiday carols sung by community members, one gentleman played Silent Night on a harmonica. He donated the harmonica and we helped him with the give away. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed celebrating the holiday season with the seniors.

On December 9th Princess Lauren and I attended the Warrens Community Christmas Party.

We had a great time doing crafts, decorating cookies, making ornaments and coloring pictures with the children. We even saw Santa and had our picture taken with him.

On January 3rd we went shopping for our new formals, we had a lovely time trying on the beautiful dresses. Once we decided on the perfect dress we then picked out shoes to match. It was an enjoyable time and now we can’t wait till our formals arrive!

2017-2018 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty December Update

Royal greetings everyone!

We were excited to show off all our hard work spent on decorating our beautiful float for Christmas. The first holiday parade was in Tomah on November 24th. It was a cold and rainy night but we still had fun spreading holiday cheer to all who attended. 

On December 1st we attended the Sparta Holiday Parade. We were invited to a royalty tea prior to the

parade where they served delicious hot chocolate. This parade was a blast and we received many

compliments on our beautiful capes and lovely decorated float. After the parade we went to see the lights in the park. We took tons of pictures with children, dogs, Santa and Mrs. Claus too! It was a lovely evening to celebrate the Christmas season!

December 2nd we had two events. We started out the day at the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center for their Christmas Open House. We helped serve cranberry punch, hot cranberry cider and cranberry

hors d’oeuvres and had a great time visiting with the guests. Later that same day we headed to Black River Falls for Christkindl Festival. The city was decorated with beautiful garland wrapped lampposts and a fire pit  on each block. The parade wasn't very long, but we received a lot of applause and good comments about our float. Afterwards we took Christmas pictures with some beautiful horses, Mr. & Mrs. Clause, and also the Jackson County Royalty. This concludes our holiday parades but we are looking forward to all the

parades this summer.

December 6th we toured the Wisconsin Capital in Madison. The Capital building is a very beautiful and stunning structure. In the center of the building stood a huge Christmas tree with a toy train circling around it. We also visited Representative Nancy VanderMeer’s office, unfortunately she was out of her

office so we couldn’t get pictures with her. The capital visit was supper fun and an awesome experience!

After visiting the to Capital we went to the Executive Mansion. The mansion was filled with beautiful Christmas trees, each had its own unique decorations. One of the trees was decorated with a variety of fruit and of course they included the best fruit of all, CRANBERRIES! We loved the tour and took lots of

pictures with all the lovely trees. After the tour we went to Ella’s Deli for a wonderful lunch. We enjoyed looking around at all the unique decor in the deli and finished off our meal  with delicious ice cream.

Everyone had a wonderful day in Madison and it was a great day to spreading some Holiday Cheer!

2017-2018 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty November Update

Royal greetings everyone!

We are excited to share with you a couple of our activities for this past month. The first was a shopping trip for our business attire with Nodji and Shayna to Valley View Mall in La Crosse. We had a lot of fun looking for different outfits. We tried on an entire rack of clothing and finally decided on a black sweater dress and short boots. After shopping we went out to eat and finished off our meal with delicious cupcakes from Addiecakes. We had a wonderful time with Nodji and Shayna on our first royalty shopping excursion.

Our next event was decorating our float for upcoming holiday parades. We covered the float with lights, presents, and even a lighted reindeer, snowman, and tree. While decorating we enjoyed pizza and had some good bonding time with each other. It was really cold decorating the float in the Cranfest garage, but we went all out and covered the entire float in fun decorations for everyone to enjoy.

We are super excited for all the events to come and are honored to represent the Warrens Cranberry Festival!

2017-2018 Newly Crowned Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty

The Warrens Cranberry Festival is excited to introduce the 2017-2018 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty. 

Queen - Tatianna Briggs, and Princesses –Hannah Hogan and Lauren von Arx. 

Tatianna is the 16-year-old daughter of Daniel and Sarah Briggs. Tatianna is in the 11th grade at Tomah High School where she is a member of Golf, DECA, Forensics, Dance, and Choir. Tatianna volunteers her time at St. Paul’s Church and is involved with the Jessie Parker Run, Pennies for Presents, Polar Plunge and

fundraising for MDA. In her free time, Tatianna enjoys golfing, baking, archery and reading.

Hannah is the 15-year-old daughter of Kelley Sunderlage of Tomah. Hannah is in the 10th grade at Tomah High School. She is employed with Tomah Parks and Recreation, is a member of the gymnastics team, and volunteers with the Sparta House of Shadows. In her free time, Hannah enjoys reading, cooking, baking, and creating art.

Lauren is the 15-year-old daughter of Daniel & Allison von Arx, and is in the 10th grade at Tomah High School where she participates in Show Choir, Soccer, Student Council, and Art honors. During the summers, Lauren has attended Girl Scout leadership camps and learned skills to be a camp counselor and leader in other areas. In her free time, Lauren volunteers at the local food pantry and enjoys various outdoor activities,

painting, listening to music, cooking, and traveling.
