August/September Greetings from Catherine, Amber and Kaitlyn

August was a blur of activity for the Royalty as they attended five parades and numerous activities. An August highlight was the Wisconsin State Fair. The girls proudly represented the Warrens Cranberry Festival as they drew a large crowd for their food demonstrations at the Wisconsin Pavilion. In attendance to cheer them on were Wisconsin's Honey Queen, Alice in Dairyland and The Fairest of the Fair. The girls in turn enjoyed watching these three participate in the Cream Puff Eating Contest! The Royalty and their families made many happy memories at this wonderful two day event.

Also in August, the girls attended the WSCGA Summer Field Day event at the Prehn Marsh and another WSCGA sponsored event - Sporting Clay at Warrens Woods and Meadows Game Farm.

Parades for the month of August included Chippewa Falls Pure Water Days, Bangor Fun Daze, Whitehall Beef and Dairy Days, Holmen Korn Fest and Onalaska Legion Community Days.

Parades in September:
Kendall Labor Day
Hillsboro Labor Day
Cashton Fall Festival
LaCrescent Apple Festival
LaCrosse Octoberfest

The girls all agreed that it has been an unforgettable year! Catherine, Amber and Kaitlyn wish to sincerely thank everyone for their help and support. They proudly passed on their titles, September 19th, knowing that they were very fortunate to have the opportunity to represent the Warrens Cranberry Festival in 2009-2010.

Royalty: July & August 2010

The Royalty ended the exciting month of July at the Monroe County Fair! They were apart of the Business after 5 event on July 28th and on July 30th they prepared their food demonstrations, in practice for the WI State Fair Food Demos later in August. The Royalty continued to stay busy in the month of August. Their reign slowly coming to an end and the girls couldn't believe how fast the year had flown by. The next event they prepared for was the WI State Fair, where they spent two days preparing food demonstrations and promoting the cranberry industry. They also attended the WSCGA Sporting Clay event at Woods & Meadows. The Royalty had many parades in the month of August, where they showed off their freshly re-decorated float.

The parades they participated in August:

July Greetings from Catherine, Kaitlyn, and Amber

The girls had a good start to the busy month of July as they participated in the “Remembering Jesse Parker Run/Walk” event on the 3rd.The Royalty served cranberry juice during the breakfast for the participants. They were honored to be part of such a heart-warming and beneficial event.

The first parade of July was the Independence Day Parade in Tomah. Unfortunately due to rainy weather they were not able to un-tarp the float. But the girls were determined not to let rain ruin their day as they waved to the crowd from the Suburban while they proceeded through the parade route.

The Royalty have several other parades this month to look forward to. These include the New Lisbon WaDaShuda Days on the 11th, the Karner Blue Butterfly parade on the 17th, and the Houston, MN Hoedown Parade on the 25th.

Other events that the girls will participate in this month include the LaCrosse Interstate Fair, The Monroe County Fair, and Farm Technology Days in Pierce County. The Royalty will also eagerly be practicing as they prepare for their upcoming cranberry demonstrations at the Monroe County Fair and at the State Fair in early August.

Best Wishes to all of you for a fun-filled summer,

The 2009-2010 Cranberry Festival Royalty

American Cancer Society Relay For Life

On Friday, June 11th, the Royalty attended the American Cancer Society Relay For Life at the Tomah High School, in Tomah, WI. We helped with the check process and assisted people with the purchase of luminaries in memory of those that have passed and to honor those loved ones that currently have cancer. We attended the opening ceremony and listened to some great guest speakers from the community. It was a great experience and we are happy to have participated in this special event.

June 5, 2010 - Three Events In One Day!

Saturday, June 5th, marked another "berry" busy day for Royalty. Our day started bright and early at 6:30 a.m. in Wilton, WI, for the Monroe County Breakfast, where we handed out cranberry juice to the visitors. After the Dairy Breakfast we headed to West Salem, WI, for their June Dairy Days Parade, which was the 8th parade of our reign. We ended our busy day by attending the 2010 Miss Sparta Pageant. It was a great day and we look forward to getting to know Miss Sparta and her court throughout the rest of our reign!

Memorial Day Services

On Monday, May 31st, the Royalty attended two Memorial Day Services. The first was the Warren Mills Cemetery. We participated by handing out programs and laying the wreath during the service. We had a great chicken dinner for lunch at the Warrens Log Building. Then we headed to the Pine Grove Cemetery in Mather, WI, and read a short poem to conclude the service. Thank you to all those who fought for our country.
