Royal Cranberry Greetings for the week of July 11th, 2011

July Greetings from your Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty!

We hope that everyone has been enjoying the warm weather of July. We certainly have been enjoying it and have been keeping quite busy too!

On July 2, 2011, the Princesses, Danielle and Tayler, had the opportunity to attend the Jesse Parker Run/Walk at Tomah High School. They served milk and juice to the runners for the pancake breakfast and had a great time meeting people and helping out at the event.

On Independence Day we took part in the Tomah 4th of July Parade. We had a nice time and really enjoyed waving to all of our friends and family from our beautiful float. It was fun being so close to our hometown and seeing those familiar faces. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed spending the day in our sister city of Tomah, WI.

Princess Danielle Helps With A School Project On The Cranberry!

2010-2011 Princess Danielle Hininger helped her Cousin, Morgan Cudo, a Fourth Grader at Sand Lake Elementary School, in Holmen, WI, with her school project on the cranberry. Morgan did a great job on her project and handed out all sorts of flyers and information on the cranberry. She even had some yummy samples of craisens that she passed out, courtesy of the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center. Princess Danielle was asked to come and represent the cranberry industry and the Warrens Cranberry Festival. Danielle spoke to about 50 to 60 children and many parents as well. The children were very excited to meet Danielle and asked many questions. One of the little children even asked Princess Danielle if she was Princess Kate, they were all pretty taken with the sash and crown. Danielle really enjoyed helping her little cousin Morgan and had a lot of fun too! We hope Morgan got an excellent grade on her project about the cranberry.

April Greetings from the 2010-2011 Cranberry Royalty

Happy Spring Everyone!

We are really getting excited for the parade season to start. We even had the opportunity to learn some cool new hairstyling tips to help us gear up for all those parades! We met with Brenda Gebhardt, stylist and owner of Hair & Co., in Tomah. She taught us several ways to style our hair using the hairpieces, given to us by the Warrens Cranberry Festival. Brenda also taught us some fast and easy ways to make our hair look great for special events. We had a great time and learned a lot. We are so looking forward to spring/summer and all the fun things in store for us. Speaking of fun things, we just got our second set of dresses in and can't wait to wear them. We are so grateful for the dresses and all the fun opportunities we have had so far and can't wait for all things to come!!! Check back again soon for another Cranberry Royalty Update.

We attended a Make, Bake and Take class at the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center on Saturday, March 19th, and they taught us how to make cranberry scones from scratch!

Spring is officially here and we can't wait to start attending more Royalty events and soon Parade season will be in full swing. Check back again soon for another update from your Cranberry Royalty.

Weekly Greetings From the 2010-2011 Royalty

We are very excited to tell everyone about our latest adventure. On December 16, 2010, we went to the Governor's Mansion for the Annual Holiday Tea in Madison, Wisconsin. During the visit we were able to see six decorated trees that were on display throughout the main level of the Mansion. All of the trees were decorated by theme, which included a Holiday Hospitality Tree, which had an ornament from each of the 72 counties. There was also a Tribute To Our Troops Tree, which displayed ornaments made by friends and families in honor of their loved ones who are serving in the military. The Boughs of Books Tree was decorated by a group of fourth graders that represented a favorite book of theirs. The Tree Of Tomorrow is a tribute to some of Wisconsin's agricultural, environmental and business companies that strengthen our State's future. The Joyeux Noel Tree celebrates Wisconsin's French heritage and The Spirit Of Giving Tree symbolized the generous and valuable work of the many charitable organizations in our State.

We were very honored to be greeted at the Tribute To Troops Tree, by First Lady, Jessica Doyle. First Lady Doyle, was nice enough to visit with all of us and get a picture taken too! We were also entertained by the Marshall High School Chamber Singers, which was very impressive. They sang a variety of Christmas Carols in the main entrance of the Mansion. It was truly a wonderful experience. This week is pretty quiet and we are anxious to celebrate Christmas with our families.

Thanks to all of you who read our blog each week, we are having fun sharing our experiences with everyone. We all want to wish you and your families a very safe and happy Holiday Season!

Weekly Greetings From the 2010-2011 Royalty

This past weekend was very busy! We started out the weekend by attending the Sparta Holiday Parade on Friday night. Saturday morning, we went to the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center, where we participated in their cooking demonstration "Dinner Table For The Holidays". We had a lot of fun and the food was really good. We then moved on to the Warrens Community Christmas & 2nd Annual Hope For The Holidays, at the Warrens Lions Log Building. They provided a wonderful turkey dinner and had games for the children. Santa was the highlight of the day! Everyone was able to get their picture taken with him and make their wish for what they wanted for Christmas. The three of us helped all the little children frost and decorate their Christmas cookies. We really enjoyed helping with this and visiting with everyone who attended. We ended the day, by going to the Black River Falls Holiday Parade. That was our last parade for 2010, so now we look forward to attending warmer parades in the Spring and Summer of 2011.

We have a nice quiet week ahead of us, so we are going to start working on our scrapbooks. We have all taken a lot of pictures so far and are anxious to start organizing them. Our next event will be on December 16th, where we will be guests at the Governor's Mansion, for the Holiday Tea in Madison. Stay warm everyone and remember there are only 18 more days to get your Christmas shopping done! :-)
