2014-2015 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty June 2015 Update

Royalty greetings! We had a busy start to the month of June and we're so excited to share some of our events.

On June 6- We had a busy day with three events. Bright and early in the morning Queen Olivia, Princesses Tatianna and Brielle attended the Monroe County Dairy Breakfast. When we arrived we rode on a wagon to the food tent where breakfast was served. We had a delicious and filling breakfast. They were serving Culver's custard with strawberry topping for dessert so of course we had to try some. After eating we visited the petting zoo. One of our favorites was the baby pig. It was the cutest thing we ever saw! We walked around to different booths and visited with people. It was a really fun morning on the farm.

At noon we attended the June Dairy Days parade in West Salem. It was a fun and hot parade. During the parade a little boy blew us a kiss so we caught it and blew one back to him. It was so cute! After the parade we walked around the festival in our beautiful sundresses and all enjoyed Blue Moon ice cream. We really liked this parade!

In the evening we attended the Miss Sparta Pageant. The outgoing Miss Sparta, Zoe Roou, along with the contestant all performed an opening routine. The contestant were judged by talent, platform presentation, response to a question and of course their evening gowns. Zoe gave her farewell speech, which was very sad, then they crowned the new royalty. Miss congeniality and 2nd princess is Emily Phillips, who happens to be Brielle's cousin. First princess is Christina Weaver and Alex Lira is the new Miss Sparta.

On June 12th we had the opportunity to go to the La Crosse Loggers game. It was Tomah Night! We played catch with our dads before the game started. They gave us a few tips on how to pitch a baseball because we got to throw out the opening pitch. We visited with a few of the Loggers players and had pictures taken with them. The game went pretty well except the Loggers lost, but it was still an awesome time!

2014-2015 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty - April Update - 2015

Greetings and Happy Spring!  We are super excited to share the latest events we have taken part in since our last update.

On March 29 - Queen Olivia and Princess Brielle attended the Viroqua Wild West Royalty Coronation.  We talked with both the outgoing royalty and the new incoming royalty.  They had the Wild West Marshals who were dressed as old western cowboys, which was really cool.  The outgoing royalty gave a presentation about their year and all their activities.  They told both funny and sad stories about their favorite memories.  After the six new royalty were crowned we took pictures with them and congratulated them too.  It was a fun event and we had a bunch of fun and can't wait to get to know them better at our upcoming events.

On April 5 - we all attended the Warrens Area Community Easter Breakfast. We served ice cream to all the little kids that came and when we finished, we had a delicious pancake breakfast and got our picture taken with the Easter Bunny too!  It was a fun day and had a great time seeing all the little kids.

We hope you enjoyed our monthly update and invite you check back again next month to see what we have been up to.

Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty Update - March 2015

Royal Greetings and Happy March!

We are excited to share with all of you our latest event that we had the opportunity to attend since our last update.

On February 11, 2015, we all attended the Veterans Valentine's Day Celebration at the VA in Tomah.  We had the opportunity to spend time with some of the Veterans and serve them cake too!  It was a huge heart shaped cake with a cute tree with little love birds sitting on the branches.  After we finished serving the cake we went to the art show.  Every Veteran has the chance to enter this show and we got to vote for our favorite one.  That was hard to do because there were so many amazing pieces of art work to choose from.  We had a great time and had tons of fun!

We hope you enjoy reading our updates each month and invite you to come back for next month's update.

2014-2015 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty - February Update

Happy February and Royal Greetings!

We are super excited to share the latest events we've had the opportunity to take part in since our last update.

On January 21,  we all attended the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association - Winter Meeting.  It was a fun event.  We learned a lot about cranberry growing and all the tools they use to make their jobs easier.  We visited with vendors and had our picture taken many times!  There was one booth that had a mini bee hive with live bees flying around inside and honey too!  There was another booth that had drones that cranberry growers can use to check on their crops.  The booths and displays were amazing and it was so cool to see all the different types of products that can be used on a marsh.  We ate a delicious lunch with amazing dessert choices and then we spoke to the group.  We told them what events we've been too since being crowned at coronation night in September, what is ahead on our schedule in the months to come and how we competed and won the title of this year's Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty.  We had so much fun and learned a lot more about the cranberry growing process.  Oh and we also got to wear our new business outfits to the event, which was super fun too!

On January 31, Princesses Tatianna and Brielle went to the Westby Ski Jump.  We had a fun time and were able to meet the Westby Snowflake Royalty and about six other groups of visiting royalty too.  There were ski jumpers from Finland, Slovenia, Poland and the U.S.A. Some of the jumpers were only 13 years old!  The farthest we saw anyone jump was 123 meters...it was amazing.  We climbed all the way to the top of the jump/launching area and also had our picture taken with some of the jumpers too.  We had so much fun we are already planning our return trip next year.

Thanks for tuning in to this month's update.  Below is a sneak peak at what lies ahead for us in the coming months.  We'll be back again in March with another update.

Yours Truly,

2014-2015 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty - January Update

Royal Greetings and Happy New Year!  We are excited to share the latest events we’ve had the opportunity to take part in since our last update.

We are super excited to share that we won 1st Place Youth in the Tomah Holiday Parade...all of our hard work creating our holiday float really paid off.  So, on December 3, we picked up the award at the Tomah Chamber of Commerce and even had our picture taken with Director, Tina Thompson.  When we finished there we went to Maurices and Nodji helped us pick out our business attire.  We have had so much fun wearing our new outfits and we thank the Festival for purchasing them for us.

On December 5, we went to the Senior Center to help serve juice and coffee for the Rotary Christmas Party.  It was really fun talking and mingling and everyone was in a very festive Christmas spirit!  We even got to wear our new outfits for the first time.   We also got to know Olivia’s cool Grandma too.  It was a very fun experience.

On December 5, we rode in the Sparta Holiday Parade.  Before it began we went to the Franklin Victorian Bed & Breakfast to socialize and stay warm.  We met other visiting royalty and Santa was there too!  We took pictures on their staircase with the other royalty.  The parade itself was fun, we had lots of lights on our float and it was fun to see all the other floats decorated for the holidays.  We stayed warm in our beautiful robes and when the parade was complete we watched them light the tree.  We had hot cocoa, popcorn and cookies too!

On December 6, we and our families went to Madison for the Holiday Event at the Governor’s Mansion.  All of the rooms in the mansion had a different theme like, the Twelve Days of Christmas and hand-made crochet ornaments for all the families that have lost a family member during war.  In another room, we learned that one of the chairs was from 1750, making it the oldest piece of furniture in the house!  The library’s theme was based on how the woods look in the winter.  The last room we saw had the cutest theme by far, stuffed polar bears and penguins and the tree was decorated with hand-made ornaments from the Boys & Girls Club  of Dane County.  We had so much fun and took so many pictures.  When we finished the tour of the Mansion we all headed to Ella’s Deli.  We had a great time!  It was SO cool.  There are so many little trinkets to look at and the food was amazing.  We all enjoyed our time and meals there.  When we got back from Madison we had to get ready to ride in the Black River Falls Holiday Parade.  It was really fun and everyone was in the Christmas spirit.  It was a little chilly but our robes kept us toasty warm and we even saw a reindeer pulling Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus!  It was a fun event.

On January 7, we all attended the Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs Coronation.  We watched 39 women from all over the state of Wisconsin compete for the winning title.  We got a chance to mingle and visit with other guests before the event began.  We enjoyed a nice dinner and then the competition began.  From the 39 contestants ten were selected to choose a card and then answer the question accordingly, then it was time for the judges to make their decision.  While this occurred they handed out awards and recognition to people affiliated with the fair and the best award given was to Bob Williams and the coolest part was that the award is now called the “Bob Williams Award.”  The ten contestants were then brought out and five were selected to answer the question ‘if the Governor was to come to your fair, what is the one thing you would show him and why is that important?’  Finally it was the moment we had been waiting for, and Deann Schlies, from Brown County was chosen the 2015 Wisconsin Fairest of the Fair!  We even got our picture taken with Deann after the event.

We had so much fun and are looking forward to what's ahead on our calendar. We can't wait!!!

2014-2015 Warrens Cranberry Festival Royalty - December Update

Happy December!  We are super excited to share our latest event we've had the opportunity to take part in since our last update.

On November 28, we rode in the Tomah Holiday Parade.  This year's theme was "Frozen In Time."  First of all we want to thank our families for helping us decorate our float.  It was beautiful and sparkly and we had so much fun putting it all together.  The parade was so fun, we had a great time seeing all the other colorful floats and their creativity too.  We were prepared for the cold weather and bundled up and used our robes, which definitely keep us warm too!  It was fun to see so many familiar faces and wave to our families and friends.  What a night and what a cool parade!

We can't wait for our next events, take a look below at all the fun things that are on our schedule in the next couple of weeks and months ahead.

We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

2014-2015 Warrens Cranberry Festival - November Update

Royal Greetings to everyone!  We are excited to share with everyone our latest event we've had the opportunity to take part in since we were crowned in September!

On October 17th, we rode in the Tomah Homecoming Parade.  It was so much fun!  We saw lots of people we knew and really liked riding on our royal float.  It was a little windy but we just bundled up...our robes really keep us warm.  We even had two little cranberries that joined in the fun...thanks Drew and Sydney!

Soon we have been working on decorating our float for all the upcoming holiday parades.  Some of the parades have themes, so it will be fun to show off our hard work and creativity.

We are looking forward to all the upcoming events and are honored to represent the Warrens Cranberry Festival at all of them!
