Cranberry Blossom Parade
We turned into cranberry blossoms as we waved in the Cranberry Blossom Day Parade at 12:30 p.m. in downtown Wisconsin Rapids. Participants and spectators gathered downtown for the parade along Grand Avenue from 11th St. to 2nd Ave. It was a "berry" windy parade, but enjoyable. We were blessed to have our float setup at 431 13 th St North which is the street of Judy Grossclaus. She and her son were outside watching the goings on, and when they overheard that we were in need of a bathroom, she graciously offered her house for "formals" changing and bathroom use if needed. As we visited with her, we found out that she makes it a tradition to open her house to visiting Royalty. What a super blessing for a super parade on a super day!
