Onalaska Parade

Today we waved through the Onalaska Sunfish Days Parade which marked our 7 th parade since Cranfest! It was a cloudy rainy day and half way though the parade we had to gracefully pop up our umbrella's! Even if the sun didn't shine we found ways to have fun and promoted Cranfest!! Two of the cutest comments of the day included a little girl watching us from the parade. She was about 4 years old and she look at us and said in a curious voice, "What are you doing up there?" as we waved and smiled. The other was from a little boy about 6 years old yelled, "I want candy!" …but as Royalty we don't throw candy, and we didn't have any cranberry taffy hidden under our rake… so we blew him a kiss instead and he thought we gave him a million bucks! It was cute!! After the parade we attended Post-Parade Hospitality Reception and enjoyed talking with area people and learning about the festival. The sun finally came out and the day went in the history books with great memories!!

Thanks for your support! Have a "berry" great day! Enjoy some pictures!!

Deep in Cranberries,

Rachel, 2008-2009 Cranberry Queen
