Miss Wisconsin 2009

On June 20th, the Cranberry Royalty, Lindsey Coblentz and my mom, Anita, traveled to Oshkosh, WI for the final night of competition where the Miss Wisconsin Organization proudly presented "A Night in Xanadu" starring Miss Wisconsin 2008 Briana Lipor and featuring the Miss Wisconsin 26 local representatives.

The night was full of talent as Miss Wisconsin 2008 Briana Lipor opened the show by singing the National Anthem. The audience went wild as the lovely contestants performed the opening number dance to "I'm Alive/All Over the World". Stephanie Klett, Miss Wisconsin 1992, was the MC and she announced the top 10 finalists as our hearts skipped a beat and our favorites moved into the next competition of lifestyle and fitness swimsuit competition. The talent competition made us speechless as the top ten all did a fabulous job performing on stage. Following the talent competition was the evening wear competition and the announcement of the top five. Before the crowning, the top five answered a final question interview and Miss Wisconsin 2008 Briana Lipor gave her farewell.

The crowning of Miss Wisconsin was something very neat to witness with all the excitement as Miss Madison/Capital City Kristina Smaby was crowned Miss Wisconsin 2009. Congratulations, Kristina!
