Winona Steamboat Days Parade

What is one word to describe June 21st? Memorable. We celebrated our ninth month as being Cranberry Royalty, it marked our 13th parade, Our first parade in Minnesota, and to make it even more special, it was Father's Day! The day was warm and cloudy as the Royal float and Royalty headed to Winona, MN to attend Steamboat Days.

We enjoyed a nice Queen Tea with fresh fruit and water while meeting the new Miss Winona, Lauren Mikula.. Then we had a picnic back at the float and visited with area royalty and even a cardinal. The parade was very long with thousands of people who lined the streets. I didn't know we had so many fans in Minnesota. People shouted everything from, "We love Cranfest!" to "Cranberries are the best!" We finished our day by visiting the festival and indulging in delicious fair food! I ordered a chicken wrap and challenged the lady to try making it with sweetened dried cranberries!

It doesn't matter where you are, you can promote our state fruit: cranberries!!!

Thank you Winona for the great memories!
